General About IProLoop Academy

IProLoop Academy is the professional learning and development division of IProLoop. It provides practical training in Procurement, Supply Chain and related operational business functions, with a strong focus on applying knowledge in real work situations.

The Academy helps professionals and teams build practical procurement and supply chain capability. Learners do not only study concepts. They learn how to use them in sourcing, supplier coordination, contracts, operational follow-up and daily business decisions.

The Academy is designed for individual professionals, career starters, procurement assistants, buyers, contract officers, procurement managers, supply chain professionals and corporate teams that want to strengthen their capability step by step.

The IProLoop Academy trainings are delivered entirely in English. This prepares participants for international business environments, global supplier communication and practical Procurement and Supply Chain situations.

For CIPS qualification programmes, the learning pathway, exam preparation and examinations are also in English. This ensures that participants develop the professional language, terminology and confidence required to work with international procurement standards and communicate effectively in global business settings.

The Academy connects structured learning with day-to-day business practice. Training is delivered by experienced industry professionals and supported by practical scenarios, templates, tools and real business examples.

What makes the Academy especially valuable is its connection to the wider IProLoop service ecosystem. Through Procure+, IProLoop works with companies on real procurement execution, supplier coordination, sourcing activities and operational procurement models. These practical insights help ensure that the Academy does not teach procurement as theory only, but reflects the challenges, decisions and execution needs professionals face in real business environments.

Where possible, the Academy may also connect learning with practical exposure, such as company insights, manufacturing environments, factory visits or professional experience exchange with selected business partners.

In short: IProLoop Academy combines professional learning, practical business relevance and real procurement execution insight – helping participants build skills they can apply directly in the workplace.

The current focus is Procurement and Supply Chain. Additional support may include ERP onboarding, key user training and company-specific process training. Cybersecurity training is planned as part of the broader IProLoop Academy development roadmap.

Learning Pathway and Course Levels

The Academy follows a CIPS-oriented pathway from Level 2 to Level 6. This allows learners to start at the level that matches their experience and progress from entry-level knowledge to senior strategic capability.

Level 2 introduces the foundations of procurement and supply operations. It covers basic procurement terminology, purchase order processes, stakeholder relationships, systems technology, inventory, logistics and expediting. By the end of the level, learners can understand key procurement concepts, support day-to-day purchasing activity and build confidence for entry-level procurement roles.

Level 3 builds operational confidence. It covers procurement environments, ethical procurement, contract administration, team dynamics, change, socially responsible procurement and warehousing or distribution topics. By the end of the level, learners can apply procurement knowledge in daily work, support contract and supplier activities and understand how procurement decisions affect operational performance.

Level 4 develops a full professional procurement foundation. It covers the procurement cycle, defining business needs, commercial contracting, ethical sourcing, negotiation, supplier relationships, whole-life asset management and procurement practice. By the end of the level, learners can manage more demanding procurement tasks, support negotiations, understand commercial and legal risks and contribute more independently to procurement outcomes.

Level 5 focuses on managerial and strategic procurement capability. It covers managing teams, supply chain risk, contractual risk, advanced contract and financial management, category management, project and change management, operations, logistics and advanced negotiation. By the end of the level, learners can lead procurement workstreams, manage risk, apply category management and help improve cost, quality, supplier performance and operational resilience.

Level 6 develops senior-level procurement and supply leadership. It covers strategic ethical leadership, global commercial strategy, global supply chain management, programme leadership, commercial data management, innovation, supply network design, logistics strategy and ESG principles. By the end of the level, learners can shape procurement strategies, influence senior stakeholders, lead transformation initiatives and support enterprise-wide value creation.

The right level depends on your current experience, job role, prior qualifications and career goal. Beginners usually start at Level 2. Professionals with operational experience may consider Level 3 or Level 4. More senior professionals usually progress toward Level 5 or Level 6.

Depending on the programme format and availability, learners may be able to choose individual modules or complete the full level. This gives individuals and companies more flexibility when planning professional development.

Across the pathway, learners move from basic procurement understanding to operational confidence, commercial capability, risk awareness, category management, strategic leadership and transformation readiness.

Learning Formats

Programmes may be delivered online, in classroom format or through company-specific learning formats. The available format depends on the selected level, cohort planning, location and client requirements.

Online learning offers flexibility for learners who need to combine professional development with work and personal commitments. It allows participants to join from different locations while following a structured learning journey.

Classroom learning offers a more personal, interactive and immersive learning experience. Participants benefit from live discussions, direct trainer support, immediate feedback and stronger peer-to-peer exchange.

For working professionals, classroom cohorts can be designed in a weekend format, making it easier to participate without disrupting weekday business responsibilities. Depending on cohort demand and planning, classroom sessions may take place in selected IProLoop locations or partner settings in Germany, the Netherlands or North Carolina, USA.

This creates a valuable opportunity for professionals to learn in an international environment, exchange practical experience with peers and strengthen their Procurement and Supply Chain capabilities through focused, face-to-face learning.

Where possible, we also aim to collaborate with selected manufacturing companies to create opportunities for professional exposure, such as factory visits, practical insights and real-world experience exchange.
