Role Summary
As a Network & Cloud Security Engineer / Consultant, you combine hands-on engineering with structured delivery. You assess risk, implement protective controls, and strengthen monitoring and incident readiness—working with internal teams and customer stakeholders in international environments.
Responsibilities
Assess — Security Assessment & Risk Evaluation
Conduct network and cloud security assessments and identify gaps
Prioritize risks and translate findings into remediation plans and quick wins
Implement — Cloud & Network Hardening
Implement and optimize security controls: firewalls, VPN, segmentation, secure access, MFA
Deliver cloud security hardening: IAM/least privilege, secure connectivity, logging, encryption baselines
Validate configurations, manage changes, and create client-ready documentation
Operate — Monitoring & Incident Readiness (Detect, Respond, Prove)
Enable monitoring readiness: logging pipelines, SIEM inputs, alert use-cases
Improve incident readiness: runbooks, escalation paths, audit-ready evidence
Support troubleshooting and continuous security improvements across network and cloud
Minimum Requirements (Must-Have)
3+ years hands-on experience in Network Security and/or Cloud Security
Strong fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, TLS, security architecture principles
Experience with security technologies (e.g., firewall platforms, IAM, EDR, logging/SIEM inputs)
Experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS / Azure / GCP
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and a structured, ownership-driven approach
Professional English required; German and/or Dutch are a strong plus
Nice to Have
Certifications: CCNP Security, PCNSE, Fortinet NSE, AZ-500, AWS Security, Security+
Zero Trust / ZTNA / SASE / SSE experience
Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, CIS benchmarks and audit preparation
Experience in regulated or complex environments
