As a Network & Cloud Security Engineer / Consultant, you combine hands-on engineering with structured delivery. You assess risk, implement protective controls, and strengthen monitoring and incident readiness working with internal teams and customer stakeholders in international environments.

Network & Cloud Security Engineer / Consultant (m/f/d) – Secure+

Company: IProLoop (Germany UG / Netherlands B.V.)
Location: Any Region (remote / hybrid)
Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Payroll or Contractor
Experience: Minimum 5 years, ideally in a startup or scale-up environment

Responsibilities
Assess – Security Assessment & Risk Evaluation

  • Conduct network and cloud security assessments and identify gaps
  • Prioritize risks and translate findings into remediation plans and quick wins


Implement – Cloud & Network Hardening

  • Implement and optimize security controls: firewalls, VPN, segmentation, secure access, MFA
  • Deliver cloud security hardening: IAM/least privilege, secure connectivity, logging, encryption baselines
  • Validate configurations, manage changes, and create client-ready documentation


Operate – Monitoring & Incident Readiness (Detect, Respond, Prove)

  • Enable monitoring readiness: logging pipelines, SIEM inputs, alert use-cases
  • Improve incident readiness: runbooks, escalation paths, audit-ready evidence
  • Support troubleshooting and continuous security improvements across network and cloud


Minimum Requirements (Must-Have)

  • 5+ years hands-on experience in Network Security and/or Cloud Security
    Strong fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, TLS, security architecture principles
  • Experience with security technologies (e.g., firewall platforms, IAM, EDR, logging/SIEM inputs)
  • Experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS / Azure / GCP
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and a structured, ownership-driven approach
  • Professional English required; German and/or Dutch are a strong plus


Nice to Have

  • Certifications: CCNP Security, PCNSE, Fortinet NSE, AZ-500, AWS Security, Security+
  • Zero Trust / ZTNA / SASE / SSE experience
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, CIS benchmarks and audit preparation
  • Experience in regulated or complex environments
